Follow the steps below to boot into safe mode and clear cache on the PS5.
  1. Turn off the PS5 completely by holding the power button until it turns off (make sure it is not in Rest Mode)
  2. Now press and hold the power button you should hear a beep, continue holding the power button until you hear a second beep.
  3. Connect the DualSense controller with the USB cable and then press the PS button. You now in safe mode.
  4. Now select option 5 [Clear Cache and Rebuild database]
  5. Select option 1 [Clear System Software Cache]
After you have cleared the PS5 system cache reconnect the extended storage and restart your PS5. 

Now it's time to move back your game into the internal storage of the PS5 console. To move the game back to the internal storage follow the steps below
  1. Select Games Library on your games home.
  2. Go to your collection Tab. (Here you will find games on the USB extended storage)
  3. Highlight the game you put in the USB extended storage, press options and the copy
You can now start your game from the internal storage.

How to move PS5 games to external storage

To move the PS5 games to your external storage you are supposed to have a valid external storage. The minimum requirements of the external storage on PS5 are as follows;

To make your external storage compatible for use with saving game it has to meet the requirement above. If it does, go on and format it as a USB Extended Storage. To format you external storage as a USB Extended Storage follow the steps below:
  1. Connect the external storage to the USB port on the back of the console
  2. Go to the (Setting) > [Storage]
  3. Select USB Extended Storage and then Format as USB extended Storage
You external storage is now formatted as a PS5 USB Extended Storage and can be used to store Games.

Rebuild Database

Error ce-107891-6 is caused by corrupt game data or Application data. Rebuild database will scan the drive and create a new database of the content on the system. You will need to Rebuild Database if error ce-107891-6 persists.
